ALPHA CAMP Camping Folding Bed

This is the first of the beds we looked at not aimed specifically at younger kids. This one is actually an oversized bed, which might seem unnecessary at first, but we found especially useful for one of the kids who’s a wriggler at night. They’re too old for bed guards, but young enough to be falling out. No, they wouldn’t really hurt themselves but hey, no one likes to fall out of bed 🙂
This Alpha Camp bed provides enough room for kids to move about while staying in it, and it’s really comfortable. We used a sleep pad on top of the base and then layered blankets and it gave a great nights sleep.

Foldable aluminium shock-cord pole structure makes for easy assemble, within minutes you can finish the assembly process, and to disassemble is also the same in reverse. This is a sturdy bed that won’t sink or wobble during the night, and fold up small and quite flat for transport and storage.

Can Children Sleep On Air Beds?

While an inflatable mattress or air bed seems firm enough for very little kids, it’s still a suffocation hazard. You always need to check the manufacturers guidelines and make sure the bed you buy is going to be suitable for your childs age.
For older kids, air beds are super comfortable. They tend to have a little more ‘give’ in them and provide a cosy nights sleep. However, that said, we’d always recommend taking a puncture lit with you on your camping trip…just in case!
