The grinder uses a ceramic grinding core, which will not rust or change the original taste of the coffee, and the coffee store on the bottom is fully sealed so the ground beans stay fresh.
You can charge this coffee grinder through a USB lead. This makes it a greta choice for camping, since you’ll likely have your car and can charge this through the phone charger there.

Grinders For Camping: Manual Or Powered?
Really this comes down to whether you’ve got power where you’re camping.
If your camping pitch has an electric hook up and you’re confident it’s reliable, a powered coffee grinder is convenient. Some of them you can charge and they’ll last for some time, although it’s not ages to be honest. But they’re powerful and easy.
With a manual coffee grinder, there’s no hoping you’ll have power. You just manually grind the coffee beans. And if you’ve gone to the trouble of taking a coffee grinder camping, I’m guessing it’s going to be slightly upsetting if you suddenly discover you’ve no power and you won’t be getting your morning coffee 🙂
If you’re camping in the middle of nowhere, with no means of power, you’re probable better off with a manual coffee grinder. You can get battery powered coffee grinders, which could be one option. Don’t forget to take extra batteries though, or it might be a sleepy start to the day if you wake up and discover the batteries are flat. Hmm.
What To Look For In A Camping Coffee Grinder
Like most (all?!) camping equipment and bits of kit you’ll take camping with you, a camping coffee grinder has to be tough. It has be be able to withstand being packed tightly, unpacked, used often, and generally be okay with being a travelling coffee grinder and not lovingly kept neatly on your kitchen worktop.
Once you’ve found one, it comes down to the all important functionality. Decide if you want a manual or powered grinder, and then check battery life, the size, the capacity for holding beans and the output it’s going to give you.
Manual grinders usually have a long handle to make grinding the beans easier for you. And while this is good, you also need to make sure the grinders easy to pack away and isn’t going to be a nuisance to pack.
If it’s two adults drinking coffee daily, you’ll get away with a smaller grinder and obviously, bigger camping party will want a bigger grinder.
Being able to store the ground coffee for a while in the grinder is also super handy. Grinding enough beans to last you the day is handy, but only if you’ve got a place to store them properly.
