What we don’t

  • Can be drafty

There’s very little not to like about this tent. Warm sleeping bags are a must if the weathers not sunny would be a good idea but apart from that, this tents a winner!

It’s a very strong tent and can withstand the elements well though. Perfect for a group of friends going away.

This CampFeuer tent is really a gem. It’s a very reasonable price for the tent size (can sleep up to 12) and the quality is superb. The living area is separated from the sleeping area, meaning you can socialise even when the kids are in bed, and the sewn in ground sheet make this waterproof even in the wettest weathers.

Although this tent can take a little while to set up (two people about half an hour), it’s sturdy tent once it’s up it’s brilliant. There are pockets outside each sleeping area that are really handy.

The light colour of the cloth means it’s quite bright in the mornings, but hey, more time to get out exploring!

  • Entrance canopy with mosquito net

What we don’t

On the whole this tent really is a perfect family camping tent. There is more than enough room for a family of 6, and you could also sleep an additional 6 people sleeping in the vestibule at a push. There are fly sheets in the bedroom areas for extra insect protection, but because of the sewn in ground sheet, we never had any issues with this anyway. Overall, a great family tent that’ll last for many years.

Features to Look at When Buying a Family Tent

Aside from reading reviews, like the ones highlighted above, there are many other things you should be looking at when choosing the test that’s best for you and your loved ones.

  • Size – It makes sense that the size of the tent should be your main priority. The last thing you want is a tent that is not big enough for everyone. You also need to think about whether you have enough space to transport it from one place to another.
  • How to set it up – Depending on the type of tent you choose; the setup may be quicker and simpler from some than it is for others. It is down to personal taste, but models that are inflated or that simply pop-up, are great for family camping holidays.
  • Tent Bedrooms and Layout – It’s not just the size you should be keenly interested in, as the number of bedrooms and how the whole tent is laid out is crucial too. The best layout for your family will be different to another.

It can feel a little overwhelming when you first look at family tents available. By using our reviews and buying guide though, it should be easy enough to find one.
